Wisconsinites + Minnesotans Spend This Much To Avoid Missing Out
We've all been there - attending an event or wedding or vacation because we don't want to miss out on the fun our friends are going to have. It turns out this is actually impacting us in more ways than we think.
According to online site Couponing 101, we are losing out on thousands of dollars every single year just so we don't experience FOMO, or the fear of missing out.
They found their results by surveying about 3,500 Americans and what they came up with is something that will have us thinking next time we do something we don't really want to do.
According to their results, Minnesotans spend a total of $2,853.46 every year to avoid FOMO. Wisconsin residents spend even more, with a whopping total of $3,509.97 spent a year.
Although the website doesn't give any examples of what one might spend money on to avoid FOMO, there are many: drinks, dinner, weddings, travel, vacations and more. Yikes.
