The two-year project to revamp the Bong Bridge between Duluth and Superior is mid-way through its second summer.  As drivers look forward to the November completion date, this is a good time to get an update on  the work as it progresses.

At this point, the roundabout on the Superior side is just about complete and is operable to get on the bridge towards Duluth and to connect to Belknap and Billings Park.  All that remains is to connect the Superior-bound lanes at the end of the project.

As far as the actual work on the deck and bridge structure, everything appears to be on schedule.  The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has built a informative project page on their website that details the work that's being done along with pictures of the construction.
