The Vikings lasted played the Bengals during the regular season in 2017, and they beat them 34-7 and with that win clinched the NFC North title. This game will also mark the first time that Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer will return to Cincinnati to play the team he was once the defensive coordinator of from 2008-13. Former Vikings left tackle Riley Reiff is also a member of the Bengals now, so there is plenty of good storylines here to follow.

The Packers will open the season taking on the Saints in their first regular season game without Drew Brees as the starting quarterback, he retired at the end of last season after 15 years in the NFL, and it could be the first game for the Packers without Aaron Rodgers, that drama is still playing itself out.  The Packers last played the Saints last season, beating them 37-30.

The NFL will release the entire NFL schedule tonight with the inclusion of a 17th game to the regular season schedule and only 3 preseason games.
