Utility Work To Close Parts Of Michigan Street – April 21-23

A utility project will close portions of Michigan Street for a few days this week, while crews install cable.  The City of Duluth is alerting the general public that Minnesota Power will be working on Michigan Street to the First Street alley along 2nd Avenue East - Tuesday, April 21 through Thursday, April 23.  The work will occur between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM each of those days.

While the work is being performed, the intersection of Michigan Street and 2nd Avenue East will be closed and traffic will be routed up First Avenue East.  Two way traffic will be established along Michigan Street between First Avenue East and 2nd Avenue East to allow for local access during the work hours.  In addition, the intersection of Superior Street and 2nd Avenue will be changed to a flashing red condition to organize traffic congestion.
