Updates On Highway 61/Grand Marais Project; 2nd Year Starts In May
The second year of a reconstruction project on Highway 61 near Grand Marais will resume in mid-May. In advance of that target date for the work, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting to release details and update the general public about what they can expect as the project moves along this summer.
The public meeting has been scheduled for Monday, April 19 starting at 4:00 PM. As has been the protocol in place since the COVID-19 Pandemic began, MNDOT will hold the session in a virtual manner, with a web-link to take part. Included on the virtual public meeting will be representatives from the Minnesota Department of Transportation who will share information and gather commentary from the participants.
If you'd like to join in on the meeting, click here to get the web-link for the session. Those who are unable to take part while the meeting is live on April 19 can go to the website to watch a recording at their convenience. If you are taking part in the live session but need an ASL, a foreign language interpreter, have a reasonable accommodation request, or need the documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), contact Janet Miller at 651-366-4720.
