As you lazily stretch and yawn, you watch your neighbor through your front window raking their leaves.  UGH!  You know it's something on your never ending to-do list, but what  do you do with all those bags of leaves.

Originally, the City of Duluth had asked for residents to drop their bagged leaves at the Rose Garden on London Road to be used when they "tip the roses".  That's how they do it, they cover all the beautiful roses that have been tipped by our wonderful volunteers with bagged leaves annually to protect them from the harsh Northland winters.

But, they have enough and are no longer accepting them at that location.  The warmer temps have given them a bit more time and aren't in too much hurry to get the tipped roses covered, but they will and have determined they now have enough.  The city thanks everyone for their bagged leaf donations.

So, now what do you do with them?   WLSSD's Yard Waste Compost site located on Courtland Street off Interstate 35 at 27th Avenue West is always an option for you. It's free of charge to get rid of leaves, grass clippings and house/garden plants.
