There isn't much time left to get into the 27th Annual Fitgers 5k. This year they are allowing 2,000 runners and they are getting close to that number. This is a great way to see where you are in your training for the Bjorklund half or Grandma's Full Marathon.

The event is put on to benefit the Young Athletes Foundation, which encourages kids to run and find the enjoyment in the exercise and competition as well as the development of healthy and active lifestyles for youth in Carlton, Cook, Douglas, Lake and St. Louis counties..

The race is an easy one with a straight shot out East on Superior Street through downtown Duluth, into Canal Park and then circle round to finish back at Fitger’s.

The weather has been what it's been, we have had warm temps, snow, rain, or a mixture of all of them, so dress warm with the option of taking off layers.
