Sydney Hansen is officially a signed recording artist!

Sydney Hansen is making a big name for herself in Nashville - and the television world, too!

There is a huge opportunity for people to enjoy music and to hear the stories behind the songs. North Of Nashville is a free event at the DECC that will feature established writers from the area and a songwriting contest.

All the country stars are stepping up and I have had some people ask how they can help the people who have been displaced or hurt by the tornados.

What happens to former artists and players in the Nashville area? They all get together later to perform. Bill Lloyd used to be in the country duo Foster and Lloyd with Radney Foster. When I knew him he made it no secret that he loved the Beatles. That sparked an idea.

Once upon a time I was a young man and didn't go to college. I was looking at my options, I could move to Nashville and try and be in the music business. I could move to Minneapolis and maybe go to school for radio, or try to break in by working weekends.

Three individuals that have ties to the rock/pop music world are being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Kenny Rogers, Bobby Bare, and "Cowboy" Jack Clement will take their place in the hallowed hall during a ceremony later this year.
