It all started when we asked for open nominations for the best musical act in the Northland. We said it could be a band, a duo, a singer/songwriter, etc.
After getting hundreds of nominees, the 5 talented artists who received the most were moved into the finals. It turns out they were all bands and after several weeks of voting, we have a winner.
KISS spent 9 days in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Cafe and filmed all the shows, then put together the best performances and released it for a one time showing nationally, May 25th. How do you get tickets, they are selling them online and you can see the performance/film in Duluth.
Checking out your favorite band at a local watering hole brings joy and happiness as you party with your friends and enjoy your favorite band. But is the band that good, or is this just your favorite place to party? How does your favorite band stack up at a new place?
We hit up the bars for live music on the weekends but what about checking out some live music during the week? You can pick up any entertainment magazine or hop on the Internet and find open mics in the twin ports.
Have to work in the morning? Who cares with the Gopher Bar starting the show at 7pm you still have time for a good nights sleep. Last night I was able to catch a great up and coming band called "3 Pill Morning" along with local band "Shadows of Me". it's nice to hear current hard rock in the north land.
After enjoying a day of high octane fun at Barker's Island for the Superior Watercross Shootout, race on over to the Keyport Lounge for the official after party.
