Here we are, days away from saying goodbye to 2013. It's been an interesting year, with lots of memorable stories we've all shared. Some of these stories are sad and some are happy, others are touching, and some are just plain goofy. We've taken a little time to see what your favorite stories of the year have been...

The folks behind the scenes at KOOL 101.7 have been working to make it even easier to check out your favorite content on the go! This week we launched our brand new mobile website, which automatically loads on your mobile device when you visit us at kool1017.com. Here's what's new:

Kool 101.7 recently teamed up with DTCU to offer one deserving Northland child a five hundred dollar "Holiday Wish." Entrants were to  submit a letter describing why they felt they deserved the prize, and they could either drop off the letter at any DTCU location, or submit it to our website Kool1017 dot com.

Rick Monroe song "Get Ur Christmas On" has become a hit on KOOL 101.7 thanks to you. Emails and phone calls asking about the song and the artist. One thing we are proud of at KOOL is that we can showcase talent and a variety of music with our Christmas format.

Santa Claus is back on the KOOL morning show and answering questions, or taking your requests. Dial 218-727-5665 and either you or your kids or grandkids can talk to Santa.

Suzie Plakson is an actress, voice over, sculpter. When she kept having dreams of another world, she couldn't ignore them anymore. So she wrote a book, with her voice.

Tracy Lundeen appeared on the KOOL morning show today and talked about the CD release party for the new "Christmas By The Lake vol V". This Thursday, November 17th, Sounds of Strings Ensemble, Ripple Effect, Hermantown High School, Mark Rubin, Doug Greenwood, Les Hazelton, Mary Lou Williams, Rose Hoene, Just Friends and All About Music will play a live show to celebrate the new release..
