A 5 year-old Northland girl is receiving her final chemotherapy treatment Friday and since her family can't throw a party to mark the event, they're organizing a parade. Let's all support "Super Kaya"!

More and more Children go hungry in the summertime. Whenever I hear stories about pets and children, I automatically put my pet and child into the story. Now it's a family thing, and I think I could be in that group very fast. Families are lining up to do a night time shop in the food shelves. The challenge has become bigger for all food shelves but especially for CHUM.

I have had the honor of emceeing the Northland Community Wellness Day for the past two years and I've watched the event continue to grow both in exhibits and community interest.  It's coming up this Saturday and I hope you can make it!  One of the growths this year is that the Diabetes Walk will be held in conjunction with NCWD.  It's truly a day the family can enjoy for free with over 75 exhibits
