The organizers of a popular local fundraiser are planning for its return to an in-person event this winter.  The annual Love Your Local Artist fundraiser at the Superior Public Library is planning for a return to its usual style on Friday, February 10, 2023.

The return to in-person follows two years of holding a virtual-style fundraiser instead due to the challenges imparted by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In order to have the event as planned though, organizers need some help from the public.

The Superior Public Library has put out the call to local artists to reserve their table space now - ahead of the event - so that they can better plan on what the evening will look like.  Local artists who are interested in taking part in the evening are asked to email mehlel@superiorlibrary.org as soon as possible so that they can get in on the event. Table space is available for $30 each, or there is an option of donating a piece of artwork that the library can use in one of the raffles for the evening.

In years past, Love Your Local Artist has proven to be an enjoyable night for all of the parties involved.  According to the description of the event provided by the Superior Public Library, the event "is a celebration of art, libraries, and community that features live music, wine, and refreshments, and tons of local art".  If you've never been, it's worth checking out.

And, everyone benefits from the evening:  Local artists get the benefit of being able to showcase their art, network, and sell some of their pieces; the general public has the chance to spend a winter evening soaking up the festive atmosphere, shopping for unique art pieces to add to their collection - or to give as gifts; and the library benefits from the general proceeds derived from the event.
