The Superior Police Department continues to "go hi-tech" in their efforts to fight crime in the Northland.  The department recently launched their iPhone app, which allows the public to anonymously share information in regards to crime.

The app - called SPDTip enables the public to send anonymous tips to the Superior Police Department.  In return, the police can respond back and have an anonymous "chat" if the tipster chooses to have a continued dialog.

The program works in conjunction along with the department's existing text messaging service known as "tip411", which is provided by Citizen Observer - a Saint Paul, Minnesota-based company.
