St. Louis County Program Makes Getting Energy Efficient Easier

Good news for homeowners and business owners in St. Louis County!  A new partnership with the Property-Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program will make financing available for the initial costs of installing renewable energy technology.

With low-cost, low-energy financing at the front-end, the hope is that building owners will make improvements that will save them money and save on natural resources.

One of the unique elements of a PACE loan is that when a transfer of ownership occurs, the loan obligation stays with the property and the new owners assume responsibility for it.  This plays to the fact that the improvements are a benefit to the long-term value of the home or business - not an immediate gain for the (current) owner.
