As the summer road construction season gets ready to wrap up, officials with St. Louis County can look back at a busy and productive year.  One of the projects that was worked on this summer now has a very-visible payoff - as the new bridge on Highway 5 over the Bear River has opened to traffic.

The bridge work cost $2 million.  The new concrete span is longer than  the bridge it replaced and also boasts additional attention to the soil erosion that are prevalent in the area.
