It was Lyndon Johnson who said that "when you lose Walter Cronkite" you've lost the nation".  A close look at recent poll numbers and the reaction he got from a recent school visit might have Barack Obama revising that statement to read "when you lose a 6th grader in Washington D.C. you've lost the nation".

When charter school 6th grader Madison learned that there would be a special guest in their classroom, she hoped that it would be Beyonce Knowles - the pop singer.  Instead, she got the President of the United States.

After letting the President in on her secret, Madison tried to smooth things over by suggesting that she was okay with his visit.  The POTUS playfully said that he knew that that wasn't true.  Michelle Obama agreed with Madison saying "I'd rather see Beyonce".
