Railroad Track Repairs Set For Superior’s 28th Street Crossing – Starting August 29
It looks like they're finally going to try to fix the rough railroad crossing that exists at 28th Street - between Elmira and Corning Avenue. Officials with the City of Superior have planned a Monday, August 29 start date.
Drivers who navigate this crossing know that it has been an especially-rough patch for the past few years. Most vehicles come to an almost-stand still while passing over them in an effort to avoid suspension damage.
A detour will be in place as the road will be completely closed during the repairs. Work is expected to be finished by Friday, September 2.
