Prince Celebration To Take Place At Paisley Park In Chanhassen June 2-5

Celebration is coming back for 2022 and features the Prince's band, the New Power Generation as well as other people he performed with.

According to the Paisley Park website, the Celebration is set for the first weekend in June. The 2nd to the 5th. There will be all kinds of music during the weekend. Another feature is some celebrity panels and the opportunity to have an experience in Paisley Park itself.

The Paisley Park Website says there will be a Prince Mural Dedication party in downtown Minneapolis on Ramp A  (southwest corner of 1st ave and 8th st) across from First Avenue. After the dedication, ticket holders will be invited to exclusive parties at The Foshay and The Living Room.

The parties will feature one-of-a-kind signature cocktails, a special photo experience and the DJ spinning all the music will be Prince's personal DJ Lenka Paris.

The VIP ticket holders will be able to access a private lounge on the 2nd floor of Paisley Park where they will receive a special gift that is only available at this event. There will be apps and drinks. There will also be an exclusive VIP behind-the-scenes look at Prince and Paisley Park artifacts.

Friday there is a special panel consisting of people that Prince worked with, and concerts from others. There will be a show with BrownMark and members of Mazarah and a special showing of Prince "Live On The Big Screen".of a show from 1992 accompanied by members of the New Power Generation.

Friday and Saturday at Paisley Park there will be a panel of people Prince worked with including his former wife and NPG dancer Mayte Garcia, longtime photographer Randee St. Nicholas, collaborator, and Purple Rain co-star Jill Jones, longtime Paisley Park Studios engineer Tom Garneau. Jill Jones has not been in the public eye very much so it will be a treat.

All ticket holders will be invited to walk through Paisley Park, with an added bonus.
Randee St. Nicholas’s photographs will be featured and a show of Prince's shoes entitled “The Beautiful Collection” and then everyone will be invited to the Outdoor Social on the Lawn. The Outdoor social will feature food trucks, lawn games, and a special Prince trivia session.

VIP ticket holders will get to attend a special recording session in Studio A with members of NPG called “Real Music By Real Musicians”. There will be some unheard music played by Chris James and Josh Welton former engineers at Paisley Park. The weekend caps off for VIPs with some gospel music by The Steeles at the Dakota Jazz Club.

If the Celebration VIP experience sounded good, it's sold out and went for $899. There are a few Celebration GA tickets for the other parties and experiences for $399. Both packages include a tour of Paisley Park. If you just want to take the tour of Paisley Park there are different packages ranging from $48 to $160.
