Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin are included in a recall of food products made by a manufacturer in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.  A specific variety of On-Cor Chicken Patties are being recalled due to the potential of Foreign Matter Contamination - according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

Specifically, the product being recalled include 35-ounce/2lb 3 oz frozen plastic packages of ON-COR CHICKEN PATTIES MICROWAVEABLE - with a Best by Date of 8/5/2017.  The products in question would bear an establishment number of "P-5615" inside the USDA mark of inspection.  Stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Ohio are included in the recall.

Consumer complaints alerted the company to the discovery of firm blue plastic in the product.  The plastic is believed to have come from a trim repair on belt material in the processing plant.

While there have been no reports of adverse reactions, anyone possessing this product is asked to not consume them - and they should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
