MNDOT Holds Public Meeting For Highway 53-135 + Highway 169 Improvements

A couple of scheduled road projects on the Iron Range will be the focus of an upcoming public meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 4 at the Virginia Minnesota Department of Transportation.  The meeting will take place between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM - billed as a "Coffee and Conversation Meeting".

At the MNDOT session, plans for two different projects will be relayed.  The first road work will take place on the Highway 53 Intersection and Passing Lanes Project and the Highway 135 Improvements Project which includes resurfacing and turn lane improvements at the county public works building in Gilbert and at Scenic Acres Drive, drainage improvements in Gilbert and intersection reconfiguration at Aurora.  The second project will be safety improvements on Highway 169 between Taconite and Pengilley; that work is planned for 2021.

The Coffee and Conversation session is part of MNDOT's regularly-scheduled meetings - each about a different topic.
