Somebody in Grand Rapids, Minnesota is $50,000 richer thanks to their decision to purchase a Powerball ticket for the drawing that took place on Monday, April 4, 2022.

Monday's drawing featured a $231,000,000 jackpot and while the Grand Rapids winner didn't take home the the big grand prize, falling just one number short, winning $50K will certainly put a huge smile on someone's face in northern Minnesota.

The Minnesota lottery announced the winning ticket on Tuesday, April 5 through their official Facebook page:

Give a hand to Grand Rapids for a $50,000 Powerball winner on April 4, 2022 - congratulations!
The winning ticket was sold at Super One Foods located at 503 NW 4th Street.

The winning Powerball numbers on April 4 were: 2-32-39-46-69 Powerball 6, Power Play 2x.

The big question now is who bought the winning ticket at the Grand Rapids Super One Foods? In order to win $50,000 they would've matched 4 out of 5 white numbers while also matching the Powerball number.

Unless the winner decides to come forward publicly, we may never know. Recently, regulation changes took place in order to protect lottery winners who win over $10,000. Big money winners can become targets for scammers and fraud, so the the Minnesota Lottery will not divulge their name unless they first agree to it.

If you want to take a shot at all the dough, remember the cutoff to purchase your Powerball tickets is 9:00 p.m. on the days of the drawings, which are Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
