Leeann Chin Name Leaves Duluth; Parent Company Maintains Location With A Different Name
The news is bad for Leeann Chin lovers - but - there IS a good angle to it. According to sources, the popular Asian-style restaurant has left the Miller Hill Mall location they've operated out of since December 2012.
It seems like only yesterday when the Twin Cities-based eatery opened to ease the loud cries of Leeann Chin lovers who were very vocal about wanting a location in the Twin Ports. Although Duluth's Leeann Chin wasn't a full sit-down-style restaurant, the quick-serve location in the mall seemed to satisfy the wants of their fan base.
Now, it appears that Leeann Chin is no more - in Duluth anyway. In it's place is a restaurant called Mandarin Express. The menu seems similar and probably with good reason: Mandarin Express is owned by The Mandarin Holdings Group - which is the same company that owns the Leeann Chin name.
