The busy summer road construction season rolls continues to roll along with the Minnesota Department of Transportation announcing a new project that will impact drivers along I-35.  According to MNDOT, drivers heading northbound on I-35 will encounter ramp closures starting June 26 at the Snake River Bridge.

Specifically, the closures affect the ramps at Highway 70 in Pine County.  Traffic that would normally utilize the Highway 70 ramp will be detoured to the Highway 7 ramps - which just recently re-opened following some road work there.

In addition to the ramp closures, a width restriction will be in place on northbound traffic in order to accommodate the Snake River Bridge work.  A width restriction of 12-feet will be in place for the duration of the project.

According to information released by the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the Highway 70 ramp closures in connection with the Snake River Bridge project will be in place about two weeks.
