Advance prep-work for the upcoming Twin Ports Interchange project will close some lanes of I-35 on July 10 and July 11.  Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting drivers that the lane closures will happen on the southbound lands of I-35 between the Highway 53 interchange to 27th Avenue West.  Lanes will be restricted between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

As MNDOT gets ready for the Twin Ports Interchange work to begin next summer, they'll spend this summer doing prep work on site. There are many items on the punch-list and they're working hard to get them taken care of. Specifically this time around, they'll be drilling and surveying the area.

MNDOT officials don't anticipate that the lane closures will last beyond the two days that are scheduled.
