I-35 Inspections Close Ramps May 20 + 21

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is alerting drivers that utilize the I-35 corridor in Duluth that a variety of inspections will close some of the ramps to traffic on Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21.  Motorists are asked and advised to slow down, use caution, and find alternative routes.  No detours will be posted.

Here are the particulars:

Monday, May 20:

• The northbound I-35 off ramp to 40th Avenue West will close.  This ramp is expected to be closed from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon.
• The southbound I-35 on-ramp from 40th Avenue West will close.  This ramp is expected to be closed from approximately 12 Noon to about 3:00 PM.

Tuesday, May 21:

• Motorists driving north on I-35 beneath I-535 will encounter alternating lane closures between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

MNDOT is advising drivers that the ramps will be open both days for the morning and evening commute.
