Drivers in the Twin Ports will get to experience a round-about traffic intersection first hand when the Bong Bridge reopens this November - as it takes a winter-hiatus during its two-year refurbishment project.

While the circular intersection style is popular in European countries, the United States has been slow to take on the semaphore.  In recent years, engineers have started instituting them in to the designs of U.S. roadways - even as they experience resistance from American drivers.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation just issued site-specific directions as to how the roundabout that will grace the foot of the Bong Bridge on the Badger side.
