Work crews with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are getting ready to kick off a major resurfacing and drainage improvement project on Highway 65 in Aitken County.  The project is anticipated to get started on Monday, June 10.

According to project details released by MNDOT, Highway 65 will be resurfaced this summer through Jacobson, Ball Bluff, and Libby.  Once completed, the design will provide for a smoother, safer driving surface.  In addition, the work crews will be repairing and replacing (as needed) several culverts along that stretch.  At the same time, the project will also make changes to improve pedestrian accessebility.

Barring any unforeseen situations - including the weather - MNDOT anticipates that the work on Highway 65 will be completed by late August of 2019.
