Not only is soup good food - but apparently it raises a lot of money, too!  Officials with the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank are thankful to Twin Ports residents who helped them raise $59,249 at the event that was held April 15th and 16th at The Depot.  That dollar amount translates into 242,000 meals for northland residents in need.

Since it's inception in 1994, the Empty Bowl event has raised well over $800,000 and provided over 4 million meals from the proceeds.

This years event was the first to include a pre-sale night;  Proceeds from that event - coupled with online and silent auction money helped to make the 2013 Empty Bowl one of the most-successful to date.
