Duluth Huskies Anticipate 2021 Season, Sign First Player
After a disappointing 2020 season that never was because of COVID-19, The Duluth Huskies signed 3rd Baseman Mike Boeve.
According to The Duluth Huskies website, Mike is from Hastings, Nebraska, and is 18 years old. The Huskies are being aggressive and have started to sign players for the 2021 roster.
The Huskies say that Mike Boeve will report to the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks at the conclusion of the Huskies season. The Huskies website says he is the top-ranked 3rd baseman in the state and 7th overall for Nebraska, so he is a great signing for the University and for the Duluth Huskies.
Boeve told the Duluth Huskies he is excited to play for such a good organization and has heard about the high level of competition the Northwoods League brings. He sees Duluth as a way to keep his competition level up and to achieve his dream of playing major league baseball.
I would imagine we are going to hear about some more players to be signed to the team and look like they are acting like the 2021 season is going to happen, which is a proactive and positive attitude to take. I'll tell you it would be nice to have baseball this next Summer. I miss taking my son Sam to the game and having a hot dog and a soda, holding our gloves next to us hoping to catch the next foul ball.
With the signing of the first player, it goes without saying that the Duluth Huskies are looking for host families, if you are interested, connect with the Huskies here.
