Douglas County Lifts Spring Road Restrictions May 15

The Douglas County Highway Department is working to get the information out that spring road restrictions will be lifted as of 12 Noon on Wednesday, May 15 - for most county roads.  The lack of restrictions will allow heavy equipment operators the ability to utilize those county roads that were closed off to them for the past few months.

According to information released by the Douglas County Highway Department, the spring road restrictions will remain on the following roads:

• County Highway C - from A to K
• County Highway K - from B to E
• County Highway E - from Kent Road to K

Additionally, the following restrictions will be in place:

• County Highway BB - from B to STH 35 - set at 30 tons
• County Highway B - from STH 35 to USH 53 - set at 35 tons
• County Highway V - from K to CTH E - set at 35 tons
• County Highway H - from STH 13 to Bayfield County Line - set at 30 tons
