Don’t Go To The Hospital In July, You Might Die

Ya know, at first read, I said to myself  "Rayman, this is not the way to start the day." I freak out at hospitals, so the mere mention starts me reaching for an Ativan. It is however important to read this article, and I want to share it with you. Excuse me while I relax for a moment and let the meds kick in.

 

Do not get sick in July. Why? You might die.

A recent study published by the Journal of General Internal Medicine reported a 10 percent spike in teaching hospital deaths during the month of July due to medical errors. We call this spike “The July Effect” and we attribute it to the influx of new interns and residents.
