When all you care about is money, bad things happen. That’s the message of Jurassic World, where greedy theme-park executives hoping to spike attendance engineer the “Indominus Rex,” a genetically-modified dinosaur that immediately turns on its creators and runs amok. Designed as a cautionary tale about the dangers of building a meaner, badder monster purely for the sake of profits, Jurassic World works equally well as a cautionary tale about doing the same thing in movies. All of the rationalizations provided by Jurassic World’s employees — “Consumers want them bigger, louder, more teeth.” “Somebody’s gotta make sure this company has a future!” — could have been taken directly out of the mouths of the studio executives who approved this gene splice of a reboot and a sequel. Their creation — the Indominus or the movie, there’s basically no difference — is as advertised; huge, mean, and visually striking. But this experiment is not without consequences.

I'll admit doing a movie about legendary James Brown is appealing, it's also almost impossible to do it justice in a mere 2 hours and 20 minutes. That being said, I began watching with high hopes. After watching the flick, my only hope was to get my money back.

With a new year upon us, many people are trying to loose a couple pounds, or get in better shape. One of the easiest ways to do this is to have a "tracker'", some that tracks your workouts, calories, hydration, etc. Fitbit for example is a very popular choice .

Loving music the way I do, I was really looking forward to the TV premier episode of Empire. I watched it, and recorded it as well, so I could review it again after I watched it. I"m now wondering my I bothered.

What do you do when you purchase a vehicle and grow to hate it the longer you drive it? The answer is you loose. You can't sell it for what you owe one it, you'll get nowhere near what you paid  if you trade, in short, your just plain stuck. I'm sure we've all been there before.

I'm really excited about this book for a couple reasons. First, I'm a huge Rolling Stones fan and have been since I was a kid, Plus, my grandson's name is Gus, so me ordering the book was pretty much a given.  I had a chance to read  the sneaks, and if you happen to be  a granddad, or, soon to be, I encourage you to get the book. Over the years I've read hundreds of books on music, but in all honesty, this is by far the best, and most thorough I've ever read. Where many other band books may briefly touch on the dark side of music, my friend, Fito de la Parra holds nothing back. He tells it exactly as it was, with brutal honesty.

I I'm not quite sure where the wild blueberries are in Minnesota, but it's time for pickin in Wisconsin for sure! It's a fact that wild blueberries have a more intense flavor than those found at your favorite supermarket, and when you do the picking, you'll save money as well, plus, it's fun!
