Both northbound and southbound lanes of I-35 through the Twin Ports metro will be affected by a bridge painting project, starting Monday, June 3.  Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting drivers of the single lane closures that will occur in West Duluth for about a weeks time.

Specifically, the northbound I-35 lane closures will occur from the Central Avenue on-ramp to the 40th Avenue West off-ramp; southbound I-35 lane closures will be from 40th Avenue West to just past the Bong Bridge.

Drivers should be aware of signs and notices about the lane closures.  Bearing any unforseen weather or other situartions, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is forecasting that all of the work will be done and the lanes will be reopen sometime on Friday (June 7) afternoon.
