The Bong Squadron program was started in 2019 and the Bong Center says that, "students gain experience with public speaking, leading group tours, and develop skills needed for part-time employment." And they also get a chance to earn some money during the summer months.

During the Heavy Metal tour guests will be able to learn detailed information about  the M-60 tank and the P-38 Lightning airplane, and get to see parts of the airplane that are not available to regular tour guests, including getting a chance to get a look at the inside of the cockpit.

If you'd like to participate in the Heavy Metal Tour, just show up, no reservations are needed and prices range from $14 for kids and $20 for adults and are available 7 days a week.
