Bong Bridge Temporary Ramp Closure To Begin August 12

In conjunction with the current two-year project that has the Duluth-bound lanes of the Bong Bridge closed, a temporary ramp closure will begin on Tuesday, August 12 that will further complicate the situation for motorists.

The ramp from southbound Interstate 35 to eastbound Highway 2 (Bong Bridge) will close Tuesday, August 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The closure is needed as crews conduct a routine inspection of the bridge for this ramp

A signed detour will be in place to direct motorists.
