The Duluth Superior Pride Festival will be held this weekend at the Bayfront Festival Park.  It's the 30th anniversary of the family friendly event that promises games, activities, entertainment and superb musical acts.  The Mayor's reception is today and traffic will be affected.

The Mayor’s Pride Reception Event  will take place today at the Depot, 506 W Michigan Street from 4:30 – 7p.  That means they will need to close Michigan
Street from 5th Avenue West to 6th Avenue West and the Michigan Street exit off the freeway from 3:00 - 8p.  You will notice no parking signs posted after 2p.

If you plan on attending you can park in the city lot at the bottom of 6th Avenue West.  It will be accessible from 6th Avenue West which will be 2-way traffic from Michigan Street up to Superior Street.

If you are lucky enough to attend any of the events planned for the Pride Festival this weekend, have fun!!!!  Based on what I know of the weather at this point, you may want to keep an umbrella and rain jacket in the car, but don't let that stop you from enjoying all the hard work and event planning that went into the 30th anniversary of the event!
