Miers Moore was named a finalist for the Defensive Player of the Year award in Minnesota, called the Reed Larson award.  Following the game he was happy to be moving on, he said, “I’m thrilled right now, this is why you stay in high school to get to the state high school hockey tournament.  I’ve dreamed of playing in the state tournament and I’m fortunate this is my third year that I will be going.  It’s the greatest weekend in a high school hockey players life.”
