I first heard of Champagne Velvet beer on Dewey Phillips radio show Red Hot and Blue. Dewey had a daily show at WHBQ in Memphis Tennessee, and would do the commercial live in between songs. The beer itself was brewed in Indiana, and  distributed in several parts of the United States at that time.

In the years before television, radio was king, and Champagne Velvet advertised on several of the weekly shows known then as a soap opera, because many of the advertisers that supported in the shows were soap companies. Even Howlin' Wolf did a commercial for Champagne Velvet  Eventually the company went out of business, but was brought back several years ago as described in the video.

You may not find Champagne Velvet at Twin Ports on Tap, however you will find a large variety of craft beers to sample, and many Minnesota and Wisconsin breweries will be in attendance. I hope you'll join us for Twin Ports on Tap, and you can find complete detailed information and also purchase your tickets too @ Kool 1017.com. Hope to see you there!
