December 19, 2012 A program to distribute free smoke detectors will start on January 2, 2013 - according to the Northland Chapter of the American Red Cross. A generous donation by Arcelor-Mittal will provide 100 Kidde smoke detectors that are equipped with 10-year sealed lithium batteries, available on a first come-first served basis.
