Grandma’s Marathon is this weekend, and runners and spectators alike want to know what the weather will bring for the big race and the rest of the weekend's activities. Weather can vary between the starting location in Two Harbors and the finish line in Duluth, and as those who live in the Northland know, weather can change greatly from one hour to the next; so what will the weather be like for Grandma’s Marathon?
While adults get ready to run the course Saturday morning, kids have the opportunity to run races of their own with the Whipper Snapper Races scheduled for Friday, June 21, 2013.
The tasty tradition of carb-loading before the big day is set for yet another year. Race participants, family, and friends are invited to enjoy a meal of spaghetti, salad, and other goodies being served in Pioneer Hall at the DECC from 11 am to 9 pm on Friday, June 21.
