Free Antique appraisal at the Depot is back on Wednesday, April 15, 2015! The St. Louis County Historical Society has arranged for Dan Sershon of Northland Estate Services and Denny Mager of Northern Specialty, will return from noon until 3 PM in the Great Hall.

Lunch with the History People takes an interesting turn this week. The guest speaker  Tony Dierckins is a local author, who has many books to his name. He only writes about the history of the area. He has written about the canal, the lift bridge, downtown Duluth and now writes for the Zenith City Online website to share more history of the area...

Veterans' Memorial Hall will host an exclusive display of a 8ft x 10ft mural with statewide military significance. The mural is part of the Veterans Educational Historic Project, sponsored by the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery Memorial Association.

Stephen Mulholland, co-owner and Field Director of Duluth Archaeology Center, has worked in archaeology throughout Minnesota since 1982. His work includes many important archaeological sites in St. Louis County. In 2002, he received a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Archaeological Studies from the University of Minnesota.
