Talk about a stiff drink.

After getting raked over the coals for his boring social media posts, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker offers beer to media members that are criticizing him.

Duluth has another local brewery to add to the roster. This one is opening with the mantra 'Don't brew scared' as it looks to try bold, new things in the world of beer. Named for master brewer and owner Dave Hoops, Hoops Brewing is making a home of the old Timberlodge Steakhouse location, next to Red Lobster.

There has been a plethora of restaurants that have opened up in the Northland and I had the opportunity to visit one of the latest, Crooked Pint Ale House at 1402 W Arrowhead Rd Suite 100 in Duluth.  Here is my opinion on my first visit. (meaning there will be more).

The Duluth area officially has another option for dining and craft beer. Crooked Pint Ale House opened in the Kenwood Village in Duluth Tuesday, marking the 6th location the company operates around the region.

If it seems like a new brewery is opening up every day in the Northland that's because there is truth behind it. And, there's good reason.  Allyson Rolph - the Head Brewer at Thirsty Pagan  Brewery shares the science and the ecology behind it during a special presentation called Lake Superior On Tap - Tuesday, May 16, 6:00 PM, at the Superior Public Library.

Duluth's robust, and growing craft beer scene features dozens of places that serve up locally and regionally brewed beers. Among these businesses is a coalition of seven Superior Street establishments in Downtown Duluth banding together to call themselves "Brewer's Row".

Most people try to see what the right wine is when choosing food. Those who know wine, know how to pick a wine accent for the perfect meal to make it more romantic or to create an exciting eating experience. Those who drink beer, usually like to sit back and have one. Which beer goes with food? All of them, but which beer goes with a movie, maybe this will help.

Grab a tall cool one and try to figure out where on earth you can find the cheapest beer. Actually, grab a six-pack because it's going to take a long time.

There's nothing more American than baseball and apple pie. Budweiser is doing its darnedest to make its way into the discussion.

One of my favorite movies of all time is Strange Brew. The story of two dumb Canadian brothers Bob and Doug Mckenzie, who get swallowed into a huge crime and solve it by mistake. That movie never would have happened if it weren't for an old Canadian Law.

What's the difference between a Miller and a Budweiser?  Even less if parent company Anheuser-Busch has its way;  the company has announced plans to acquire MillerCoors - a move that would allow them to control 70% of American beer sales and 30% of the worlds beer business.
