Randy Jackson is still in it to win it: EW.com has confirmed that the original ‘American Idol’ judge will return for an 11th season on Fox’s top-rated series. Also returning for season 11 is Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler — not exactly the most surprising revelation, considering he initially signed on for more than one season, according to EW.com.

I was excited to see this tidbit of news today. Steven Tyler has reportedly buried the hatchet with long-time song-writing partner Joe Perry and hinted that the pair would begin writing together in the summer. Some questioned if it was a good move for Steven Tyler to join the cast of American Idol.  After watching a few episodes now and hearing how often they use Aerosmith songs, this doesn't surprise me
