I was in the pits a good part of the weekend at the Superior Watercross Shootout, and asked lots of questions, got lots of answers, and learned a lot. I asked one of the I.W.A. riders how you turn at high speeds? Contrary to what we might think, to turn right, you turn the handlebars to the left while at the same time, leaning right, and you rely heavily on your machines "flap."

Sounds easy, but as I talked to more I.W.A members, I found it takes some getting used to. Imagine going 55 to 60 mph trying to make a right turn, and have issues! There were a couple racers that had flap problems, and wound up going straight onto the beach. The video explains the usefulness of the flap.
