Spring Load Restrictions On St. Louis County Roads To Be Lifted Starting May 3

It's a sure sign of spring!  Officials with St. Louis County will lift the spring load restrictions on their roadways starting Tuesday, May 3.

On May 3 at 12:01 AM, restrictions on paved and unpaved roads will be lifted in the North-Central Frost Zone.  The following day, those restrictions will be lifted for the North Frost Zone.  It should be noted that some roadways will continue to have load restrictions on them based on their particular condition or location.  These roads will be clearly marked with signs.

Yearly weight restrictions are placed on some roadways in our area to prevent damage to the surface.  While the start and end dates vary from year to year, they usually start in March and end sometime in April or May.  This years weight restrictions began on March 8.
