Americans are searching for love, and are willing to do the strangest things in order to find it. Smell is important no doubt about it, but your odds of finding Mr. or Mrs right (or even  a one- nighter) at one of theses events  are slim. Here we have people sniffing clothes that someone else slept in for three days, with hopes that grand things will happen when we meet the person who's smell we like the best. Get real.

There’s a whiff of a new dating trend hitting the West Coast.

More than 100 hip young singles turned out for a party at a Hollywood theater this month to experience the boldest fad in matchmaking: pheromone parties, where romance-seekers pick potential partners based solely on the chemical triggers of sexual attraction.

“It’s about romance,” pheromone party creator Judith Prays, 25, told The Daily. “Intellectual connection is not always the most important thing in a relationship.”
