I for one am all for Axel and the gang ditching the Hall Of Fame. I don't have a dog in this race and am neither a Guns N' Roses nor Hall Of Fame fan. Despite my displeasure with the selection committee for the Hall,  I do have immense respect for the organization itself. I have non for the Guns. Axel did the correct thing in refusing to show up. Now we can put it behind us as if it didn't happen. Thank goodness it didn't.

The music world has wondered for months whether Guns N’ Roses would pause their infighting long enough to perform at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony this weekend in Cleveland.

It’s not going to happen.

Axl Rose is bailing on Saturday’s ceremony to avoid a “complicated or awkward situation” with his former bandmates, the rocker said in a missive to the Hall released yesterday.

“Since the announcement of the nomination we’ve actively sought out a solution to what, with all things considered, appears to be a no-win, at least for me, ‘damned if I do, damned if I don’t’ scenario all the way around,” he said in the letter.
