“No Matter What” by Badfinger-Rayman’s Song of the Day [VIDEO]

It was on this day in 1983 that Tom Evans became the second member of Badfinger to commit suicide. He hung himself from a tree in his back yard. According to family members, Tom was never able to get over the suicide of his former band mate Pete Ham. Evans and Ham co-wrote "Without You" which was a huge hit for Harry Nilsson. Neither Evans nor Ham received any royalties for the song, which also may have contributed to his suicide.
