Lane Restrictions On Highway 61-London Road At Lester River Bridge Begin September 26th

Source: OutsideDuluth via flickr

Road work to repair the Lester River Bridge on London Road-Highway 61 are set to begin tomorrow.

Motorists can expect daytime lane closures and flaggers during the daytime from September 26th to October 19th.  Crews will be working beneath the bridge using access from a truck parked on top of the deck.

Both lanes will reopen each evening;  The work will be performed only during daylight hours.

This project will complete the Lester River Bridge Rehabilitation Project that began in 2010.  Grading and new pavement will help to maintain and preserve the historic overpass.
