How To Use A Crayon As An Emergency Candle

Source: Niznoz via flickr

We all know that we should stock candles and flashlights in the house in case of an emergency.  But here’s another idea for an emergency light-source that most houses have:  Crayons!

Recently, I came across a tip that suggested to use Crayons as an emergency candle.  When you think about it – of course it would work:  Crayons are a colored wax-like substance wrapped in paper.

To use them, just melt a little bit of the top wax onto a plate, stick the Crayon on it in the upright position, and hold the flame to it long enough for the paper to light on fire.

How smart is that?!
